The EFM Feature

Politico has a great video of Sen. McCain playing the fundraising expectations game. Toward the end of the segment, Meredith Viera asks him about how much money he’s raising, and he grinned when he replied, “I’m not very good at it. I hope to get better.”

This comes from a man who has spent a quarter-century in Congress and, in doing so, has raised over $80 Million dollars for his campaigns and PACs.

He’s been lowering expections for quite some time, but it’s still quite fun to watch him grin through his spin. See the whole video here. It’s toward the end, but if you skip the beginning you’ll miss out. Sen. McCain does a great job defending the war effort and explaining that the surge is working. Sometimes, amidst all the bad war news, it’s just refreshing to hear Sen. McCain making so much sense.
