The EFM Feature

From the Brody File:

So, in essence Romney may be saying the same thing when it comes to teaching Intelligent Design. Romney’s campaign responded earlier on The Brody File that School Districts should be making those decisions. That seems to be what Huckabee is saying too. The question today is this: will any of the candidates come out (like President Bush did) and say that Intelligent Design should be taught side by side with Evolution? The candidates may not have any say over it as President but they do have a bully pulpit and can influence the debate in America that way.

Read the whole thing for context, etc. As we’ve said before, theology only matters in a presidential race inasmuch as it impacts policy. Governors Romney and Huckabee have different theology, and Huckabee’s is more similar to ours, but they’re in the same place on this issue as regards public policy. That’s the important thing when you’re voting for a president, not a pastor.
