The EFM Feature

In his new book, Hugh Hewit predicted that the media would soon start going after Governor Romney for his business background, featuring accusations that he’s basically a latter-day “robber baron.” Well, it appears to be starting. This morning’s Boston Globe has a lengthy article along this theme:

Romney would eventually use his business success as a platform for his political campaigns, stressing his leadership skills and data-driven management acumen. His critics would use his work in this little-understood world of private equity to paint him as a coldhearted profiteer, cutting jobs to line his own pockets.

And yesterday in Salon, a piece wondered “whether America will embrace a bona fide corporate candidate.” The horrors!
