The EFM Feature

I thought I’d break my moratorium on posting to talk about something my esteemed co-bloggers must’ve overlooked in their fervor over the actual election.
Today, in an article announcing that Actress-comedian Janeane Garofalo is going to be on 24 next season, I realized that Cherry Jones has been cast as the next president, Allison Taylor..
Now, I know that we definitely do not want the actual female presidential candidate to win in ’08, but I couldn’t be more pleased with this fictional president. Cherry, as you might know, has been in many wonderful films, such as M. Night Shyamalan “Signs” and “The Village.” What you may not know is that she hails from picturesque Paris, Tennessee: home of the world’s biggest fish fry.
Along with Hank Williams, Jr., Cherry is our most notable Parisian. (Do not call us Parisites.) If only there was some way you could read about Paris before the next season of 24 began…
Okay, back to the grindstone, but I just wanted to pop my head out and officially declare my support for actress Cherry Jones’s new role.
