The EFM Feature

David Brody on all this third-party business:

On a separate but related note, one key question here is why has it even come to this for Evangelical leaders? If they could all get behind one candidate in the primaries, that guy could give Giuliani headaches. But so far, they seem split on Fred Thompson, they’re not enthused about Huckabee and what about Romney? He’s speaking out on traditional values yet all we hear is silence from this group. Where’s the love for Romney? Deep down, they may just be concerned that he’s not a “sure thing”. Yet in this election, a “sure thing” is very hard to find.

Amen, Mr. Brody. Of all people, evangelical Christians should know better than to look for “sure things” in a fallen world.
