The EFM Feature

I get it — I love the Chuck Norris jokes that have been floating around the Internet for some time, and I have a pretty good sense of humor. But I have to admit… the above campaign commercial makes me mad. I mean, actually, literally angry.
Maybe it’s just because it came at a bad time. This morning, I was talking to my husband for the few minutes he was alloted before the phones were all cut off. Evidently there had been some sort of a security breach, and the military monitors had to cut all communications down. He’s been gone only three weeks — forty nine to go, Lord-willing. I spend every day trying to keep it together emotionally and spiritually, while my husband does what he can to fight for our nation’s future.
But to come back to this computer and see a potential commander-in-chief acting like some sort of hokey SNL reject? It doesn’t inspire confidence.
Of course, if Gov. Huckabee wasn’t a possible “spoiler,” I’d probably laugh it off and ignore him like most people are. The war, obviously, is just one of the very serious issues the next President will face. His immigration stances are far from funny. And his personal ambitions could possibly usher in a pro-abortion Republican President as he only takes votes from the only pro-life candidate with a good shot at winning.
So, it’s just not amusing to me. Not this election. Not today.
