The EFM Feature

I must say, I think Senator Obama has got a somewhat unrealistic view of the presidency. Here is what he told the International Herald Tribune when challenged about his voting record, which National Journal said was the Senate’s most liberal:

The only votes that come up are votes that are purposely designed to divide people. It’s true that if I’m presented with a series of votes like that, I’m more likely to fall left of center than right of center. But as president, I would be setting the terms of debate.

Hmm. Has President Bush set the terms of debate? Did President Clinton? Certainly the president plays an important role, but…
