From today’s Rasmussen Report:
If the 2012 presidential election were held today, President Obama and possible Republican nominee Mitt Romney would be all tied up at 45% each, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.
It was only a matter of time before we saw polling results like this. After all, Obama’s economic programs have utterly failed to live up to his explicit promises, and it’s increasingly clear to many that we’re heading down a statist/socialist road that will impose an artificial cap on future economic growth and may very well lead to a “double-dip” recession. Given this reality, the uptick in Governor Romney’s numbers is virtually inevitable.
I predict that in the next six or twelve months we’ll see less and less talk about the Republican party lacking a “leader.” We have a leader, and he’s the right person for these times.
