The EFM Feature

Hello, friends! I’ve been getting so many wonderful e-mails saying you guys are praying for us. Thanks. They’re very appreciated.
I know this is Evangelicals for Mitt, not Evangelicals against Swine Flu, but I thought I’d answer some of your e-mail questions. Many of them go something like this last one I got:

I was wondering if there were any unusual symptoms compared to the normal flu and what made you get it tested etc.

The symptoms of novel H1N1 flu virus in people include the following, taken from the CDC website:

fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. A significant number of people who have been infected with this virus also have reported diarrhea and vomiting. Severe illnesses and death has occurred as a result of illness associated with this virus.

There is no vaccine available right now to protect against novel H1N1 virus. Tamiflu doesn’t work for us, although doctors are prescribing it. Also, this is spreading throughout our county very rapidly.
Please pray, guys. We are at the end of Day 6 and it’s really not that much better than Day One.
NANCY ADDS:
Interestingly, the CDC is saying that “H1N1 causes more severe illness needing hospitalization among younger people than seasonal flu, while leaving people 65 and older relatively unscathed.”
