The EFM Feature

I’m a little over halfway through my road trip, and the SRLC is a little more than half over here in New Orleans. Who knows how it will turn out, but I have been struck by one thing David mentioned — the receptiveness of the crowd. I’m sure it’s self selecting to a certain extent (you’re more likely to go up to the guy wearing a goofy Romney hat and holding an armful of Gov. Romney’s books if you’re favorably disposed toward Gov. Romney), and I know these are Southerners, so they’re 10,000 percent nicer than Philadelphians, but still, I’ve been surprised by the warmth. The straw poll? That’s a mystery. But the climate here toward the Mormon from Massachusetts? Much friendlier than I had anticipated.
