And the press is taking notice of our presence. David Weigel at the Washington Post got ahold of one of Nancy’s pre-conference e-mails and calls us (all Mitt supporters, really) “tenacious.” Ben Smith at Politico reprints our entire program ad and calls us a “persistent, free-lance pro-Romney group” (I prefer Mr. Weigel’s “tenacious”). I’m mystified, however, as to why an ad featuring a piggy bank doesn’t scream “THE ECONOMY!” to Mr. Smith. But when there’s a flaw in communications, the fault is usually with the communicator.
But that’s not all. Fox and MSNBC both reprint our ad. And the coverage keeps coming.
What’s most encouraging, however, is running into person after person who gives us the thumbs up, takes our buttons, and says “Mitt’s our guy.”
Stay tuned . . . more reports to come.
UPDATE: The good folks over at Mitt Romney Central report:
When Carl Cameron (FOX News) reported on SRLC today, he opened one of his segments with a copy of the EFM ad in his hand (located on inside front cover of the SRLC program); he read the highlights!
I think it’s safe to say that the ad was well worth the cost.
