The EFM Feature
Who Likes Gov. Romney?

I know it’s early, but this is still good news.  Alone among the Republican contenders, Mitt leads Obama in a poll of registered voters.  Keep in mind also that polls of registered voters tend to understate Republican support.  The most accurate polls are of “likely voters,” not registered voters, so there’s a good chance that Mitt now leads Obama by an amount outside the margin of error.

Why?  As NRO’s Robert Costa notes, “It’s the economy, stupid,” Yet it’s not just the economy.  If it was, then more than one Republican contender would be leading Obama.  It’s the combination of the struggling economy matched with the one Republican that voters recognize with real (and demonstrable) economic expertise.

On occasion, I hear friends say, “I like Mitt, but I don’t think he can win.”  My response is simple:  Not only can he win, but he’s got the best chance of all the Republicans to do it.  And now I have yet another poll to back me up.

Romney is in good shape. My one regret, is that it appears Mitt Romney has bought into the global warming fraud. Why? I know the guy is intelligent enough. I’d like to see his science on this one.

  2. Liz says:

It’s not that I want Mitt to take time to address global warming. He should stay honed in on national debt and the problematic economy and giving back power usurped by feds to the states. Like a laser beam. That’s what I care about, and I could care less about Global Warming hype. HOWEVER, he should dismiss it by identifying it as the scam it is.

  3. Stan says:

I believe Global Warming as a money making program is a scam but I do believe we need to keep the earth clean and habitable for generations to come. The same way we hand over the torch to our children instead of a bill, we need to hand over a clean world. Do you remember what the Boy Scouts say after they’ve gone camping? “Aways leave an area better than the way you got it”. Lets be practical and clean up after ourselves by using clean fuel such as solar, wind, nuclear, coal, and other viable means of energy. God gave us this earth as he did Adam to dress and take care of it.
