Byron York: Should we raise taxes?
Romney: “As Governor, I cut taxes, 19 times and didn’t raise taxes. I was fortunate enough to be a governor who had an increase on the credit rating of our state. Our President doesn’t understand how to lead and fix the economy…. But when I was Governor, I went to the legislature and asked for powers to cut spending, and every year we balanced the budget. By the end of our term, we had a $2 million rainy day fund. That’s the kind of leadership we need in the White House.”
