That is just plain distasteful and paints a completely false picture. I recently had the chance to visit the Polynesian Culture Center in Hawaii, and it was absolutely amazing. I was speaking with a guy who was working there and he told me how the program works. These people come from their little islands in the Pacific and work at the PCC- preserving and celebrating the cultures of the Pacific Islanders. In exchange for working there 19 hours a week, they are able to have tuition, room, and board at BYU Hawaii. After finishing, they return to their small islands empowered with an education and able to improve their circumstances. It is a non-profit organization and truly changes lives and families for the better. I had no idea how great it was until I had the chance to visit. Isn’t the left all about diversity??? And now they are slamming the work of the LDS church to preserve culture and provide an education for people with otherwise limited opporunity. What a shame.

I came from a liberal family, and was indoctrinated from a young age. (I figured out early something was very wrong.) the left is NOT about diversity anymore than they are about freedom of expression. Minorities are only “diverse” if they support the left with their votes to keep the left in power. freedom of expression is only on show when expressed views agree with the left or are counter to prevaling cutlure. look at how minorities who do not toe the line are treated. it’s all about keeping the left in power.

PCC gives opportunity to make a better life for those who work there and whom they will associate with when they return home. re: the left is not needed, and they don’t like that.

Yep. These dogs. Go for it, losers. Fools mock, but they shall mourn. PCC in Hawaii is the biggest employer of college students there and has financed more educations….plus it’s a great family vacation. Took all eight of my kids last year, best vacation EVER. Cheaper than Obama’s fundraisers and much more fun, friendly, and educational by far. I’m telling you, the problem with libs is they don’t see any money, wealth or assets that they don’t covet madly for themselves. Controlling government to make everyone, individuals, businesses, and churches give up their freedom and wealth for their personal benefit is the name of the game. Let’s not pretend there’s anything virtuous or compassionate about big government and a president that ignores the rule of law. And this kind of vulgar attack tells you who these people are.

A church that uses it’s resources to provide millions of dollars of aid to people all over the world is doing the Lord’s work. The humanitarian work of the LDS church is vast and very important and usually is given freely to all people where a need is found, regardless of ethnicity, religion, or race.
The leadership of the church is a lay leadership so that the money the church has goes for buildings, schools, missionary work, humanitarian efforts, welfare assistance, church materials such as bibles, manuals, etc. There are no big fancy homes owned by the church to provide elaborate housing for anyone. The church buildings where weekly meetings are held are simple in design and decoration. They are designed for use and are not fancy at all. The temples are much more beautiful inside and out, but even they are tasteful and understated.
I have been to the Polynesian cultural center a couple of times. I have known some of the students that work there. Because of the belief that the LDS people have – that people should work for what they need – they are able to offer employment to many students so that they can afford to go to college without having to rely on loans and handouts. It is a beautiful and amazing place to see the many cultures represented by polynesians of all the islands. To describe it as a ‘polynesian theme park’ is to insult the hard work and amazing performances of those warmhearted people who are sharing their culture with visitors. It is nonprofit because all the money goes to helping the students and providing employment and education to thousands of people who would otherwise not have it.
A little more information about some of the humanitarian efforts can be found at

What most people, include the press, fail to realize is that freedom of speech also requires responsibility for the words used when voicing an opinion. Some would say that we should be able to say what we want when we want it without any recourse. That kind of thinking mirrors a society that is above the law. Many liberals hide behind the free speech clause so that they can share radical and sensational ideas with impressionable young minds. The words that we use are a reflection of our own thoughts and ideas. In some cases, words of how we really feel about our employer, a public official, etc. can get us caught into defamation, slander, and libel lawsuits. But hey, what about that freedom of speech clause? Words have consequences. Bloombergs distasteful cover and writings also will deal them consequences. If the tables were turned, the Mormon church could say every ill thing they could conjure up against Bloomberg and other news outlets – but we all known that is not going to happen which speaks more positively about them then it does about Bloomberg. If no one is above the rights and responsibilities of the rule of law, then no one is above the rights and responsibilities of freedom of speech. But obviously Bloomberg feels otherwise.

Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves. ~Abraham Lincoln

    Moroni 7:17 [Book of Mormon]

“…..whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil, and believe not in Christ, and deny him, and serve not God, then ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of the devil; for after this manner doth the devil work, for he persuadeth no man to do good, no, not one; neither do his angels; neither do they who subject themselves unto him.”

Bloomberg – good or bad? You decide………..
